Our Process

Our Process

Upgrading your home or building a new one from scratch is so exciting, but it can be difficult to know where to start.

That’s why we strive in providing our clients with a smooth construction process. No matter how daunting it can be, we will work closely with you, every step of the way, to ensure that your plans and ideas for your dream home become a reality.

Take a look below at our process of how we will work with you during the process of your new home, extension or renovation project.

Before You Start

To ensure that the design and build process for your new home improvements run smoothly, it’s important to take the time to clarify your ideal requirements for the look and feel of your space. By doing this, you are creating a space reflecting your unique personality and style, so you can finally feel truly at home

The next step, is to pick your budget. Knowing your budget guides the design choices and material selection. This can help with staying within your financial goals.

Whether you have a restricted budget or are looking to create a luxurious space, we can help you achieve your goals.

So, when you’re ready to take the next step leave an inquiry or give us a call.

Step 1: Let's Talk

A discovery call; this is where we ask you the questions we need in order to gauge if we are the right builder for you. If we are well suited to your needs, we can then arrange a site meeting and discuss your project concept and ideas.

The next step is a welcoming introduction, in the convenience of your own home. This conversation is your opportunity to ask us any questions and chat about the ideas you have for your new project. Tell us all about your vision and requirements. We will work in conjunction with you and explain the solutions that suit your project and budget. Once we’re clear on your design ideas and desired budget, we can provide you with an estimated quote for your project within the next two weeks.

Step 2: Designs, Plans & Approvals

We have a well-trusted team of designers, architects and engineers who collaborate with us to develop your plans into construction-ready drawings.

Our architect will meet with you, at your premises, to discuss your ideas. He will give his thoughts on how to make your project flow and prepare designs in accordance with your vision and budget.

These designs are completely customised for you based on your specifications, budget and land requirements and include 3D custom renders and floor plans.

When you are happy with the design for your project we can proceed into the Preliminary Building Agreement.

This step allows you to get all building approvals, detailed construction plans & reports completed as well as a fixed price proposal. The fixed price proposal includes all of the fixtures, fittings, joinery and details you actually want by going through a process known as ‘selections’.

Depending on the size and scope of your project, preparing a fixed-price proposal typically takes anywhere between 15 to 30 hours of work. We need this time so that we’re able to accurately estimate the number of materials that must be used and ordered as well as calculate the expected hours of labour required for the construction of your new home/renovations.

This can be a lengthy process however it’s crucial to get this step right so that you end up with a contract proposal that has everything included and there are no hidden surprises.

Step 3: Fixed Price Proposal

Once all the approvals and material selections have been finalised, we will have all the information needed to provide you with a fixed-price proposal and from there, we’ll meet with you again so that we can go through all the details and inclusions together.

Once everything is understood and agreed upon, you’ll be able to sign the construction contract. This is the time where you will be required to pay the 10% deposit.

Step 4: Construction

This is the part where we finally get to break ground and turn your vision into reality. Throughout the whole process, you will have complete transparency. We ensure that every question and concern is answered to your satisfaction, after all, this is your home and our ultimate goal is to make sure you are fully satisfied.

Depending on the scope, construction can sometimes require the demolition of an existing structure before the actual construction of your new home can commence.

We will schedule regular site meetings to walk you through every important step of the construction process so you are happy with every decision you’ve made.

You can view the status of each stage in real time with our online client portal. With this, you’ll be able to follow the progress and schedule of your entire project; letting you stay in tune with everything as it happens.

Step 5: Handover

Exciting times! We have come to the end of the road. This is where we book a date where there are no more tools or plans to look at, just your finished home renovations that we can sit back, embrace and admire.

Prior to the handover, we will perform a series of quality control measures to ensure your new home is handed over to you at the highest standard and is free of any construction defects.

It’s important to us that you feel 100% satisfied before we leave you to enjoy your new home.

To further maintain the wonderful relationship we’ve built with you over the months of working together, we’ll be keeping in touch with you regularly to ensure you’re still thrilled with your new home.
